Everyone TV is the platform operator of Freeview and Freesat, jointly owned by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
With a team of over 180 people, their mission is to bring viewers the best of free-to-air TV - simply and reliably. Like many purpose-led, mid-sized media organisations, they’re committed to evolving their leadership capability and ways of working to create a collaborative, empowering culture that delivers results.
Our journey with Everyone TV began with the delivery of ‘Ignite’, our core line management development programme which we provided to a cohort of 20 line managers.
Designed to help these managers lead with confidence, compassion and clarity, the programme equipped participants with an understanding of different leadership styles and emotional intelligence, as well as providing them with an experiential and safe space to practise core leadership skills of active listening, giving feedback and delegating effectively.
The success of this programme prompted a deeper conversation with the People Team: how might Everyone TV move towards a coaching culture, where growth-minded, supportive-yet-challenging conversations become the norm across the organisation?
We collaborated with Everyone TV to co-create a bespoke organisation-wide programme aimed at embedding coaching mindsets and skills across three key levels:
Uptake was great - over 65% of the company attended an All Staff session, despite them being optional. This signalled a strong appetite across the business for new ways of communicating and growing together.
To sustain momentum and deepen practice, we delivered a series of live, online peer group coaching sessions for the Heads of Team cohort.
These facilitated sessions gave leaders the space to bring real challenges, practise coaching with peers, and build confidence using coaching skills in live conversations. They also served a strategic purpose: we knew this group would be instrumental in driving behaviour change throughout the organisation.
The work has laid strong foundations for a coaching culture to take root at Everyone TV - one where employees at all levels feel more confident supporting, challenging and growing together.
Participant feedback highlighted the relevance and practicality of the sessions, as well as a sense of renewed connection and empowerment.
The leadership team have continued to model coaching behaviours in their day-to-day work, creating a ripple effect that’s helping embed these skills into team dynamics, stakeholder conversations and organisational culture.
